Description

Before you tell the Captain to head off to Old Miltia, Shion will still be alone. It's worth noting that you can level up Shion very fast on the Dammerung while she's alone (since she's not splitting the EXP), and that your inactive party members will also be getting about 80% or so of the EXP. You'll also be able to get a ton of new skills for Shion this way. Leveling up to about 30 here is pretty quick and painless, but you can grind to 35, 40, or even higher if you feel like it. I went ahead and leveled Shion up to 35 here. For GS mission 27 (mixing the hangover remedy), the number of attempts it takes to get the correct ratio will ultimately determine the attribute/element of Shion's Erde Kaiser Fury summon: 1-2 attempts = Slash 3-4 attempts = Pierce 5 attempts = Thunder First off: you can change the element of the summon with the elemental Sword ethers, so the thunder one is useless. The choice between slash and pierce is mostly preference; neither has a huge advantage. I usually choose slash, myself, but I figured I'd try out pierce this time. After the party comes back together, I decide to take the EVS to Old Miltia (14 years ago) to get some easy skill points for Jr and MOMO. This, along with Shion's grinding on the Dammerung is primarily for the purpose of farming Awakening II's, which I'll go into more detail about when I come to that point. ____________________________________ Game: Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse Platform: PS2 (played on the PCSX2 emulator) Developer: Monolith Soft Publisher: Namco PCSX2 rev.5444 GSdx 0.1.16 rev.5442 AVX Direct3D9 (Hardware) Interlacing off Custom internal resolution: 2816x2464 (5.5x native) "Texture filtering" fully-checked "Allow 8-bit textures" ON (game runs much better with this on) "Enable HW Hacks" checked "Skipdraw" set to 1 and "WildArmsOffset" half-checked under HW Hacks FXAA enabled (via PgUp key) - MSAA causes weird shadow/lighting glitches in D3D9 Recommended speedhacks & MTVU hack on.
