All eyes are now focused on whether the 24-year-old can score an unprecedented calendar grand-slammer next month at the British Open. Our Song Ji-sun has the details on Park's historic victory. Korean golfers have set some unbelievable records at the LPGA... but Park In-bee seems to have scrapped all those with this year's U.S. Women's Open victory on Sunday. Park won the U.S. Open by four strokes on Sunday to become the second player ever to win three consecutive major titles of a season. The only other woman to achieve the feat was Babe Zaharias who set the record in 1950, when there were only three majors. It's something that neither Annika Sorenstam nor Jack Nicklaus achieved. Her two-over-par 74 in the final round carried her to eight under par for the tournament at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y. Only three golfers finished under par, with the other two fellow Koreans Kim In-kyung and Ryu So-yeon. South Korean ladies have captured the last five major titles. With her half-a-million-dollar first-place check... Park stays on top of the earnings ranking at the LPGA this season. The 24-year-old has unparalleled stats this year - having scored the most 60s and cementing herself at the top of the Player of the Year rankings. This is her sixth trophy this year... and her ninth career victory. If Park snatches the Women's British Open next month... she will be the first "calendar grand slammer" in both men and women's golfing history -- and the youngest career grand slammer. The Evian Championships -- which Park won last year... was elevated as a major event from this year -- but it's widely considerd a grand slam with the first four events. "What I've achieved today is something that will go down in history. I was surprised at how good my play was this week... and although it maybe too early to tell, I am looking forward to how far I can go in my career." Song Ji-sun, Arirang News.
